The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA), known for its iron-fist approach against illegal construction, has now issued notices to popular construction company Jayabheri in its efforts to tackle encroachments on water bodies in and around the city.
Owned by Tollywood actor Murali Mohan and former TDP MP, Jayabheri has built towers in Rangalal Kunta Pond FTL and a buffer zone in Hyderabad.
HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath, after inspecting Bhagirathamma Pond, has called for a full investigation into the dumping of construction waste in the pond’s Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone.
He noted that a decision will be made in a meeting within the next 15 days.
